In the Atlantic Rainforest there are many birds that need to camouflage themselves in the forest floor to avoid predators. That is why they have colors that blend in with the dried leaves such as beige, brown, gray, and other darker tones.
Tinamous, partridges, native pigeons, guans, chacalacas, anis, small birds, and other earth-colored animals remind us that the Atlantic Rainforest, which in general is so colorful, is also the home for animals that, despite not calling much attention, have a great ecological importance for being seed dispersers, thus contributing to maintaining the food chain when serving as food for carnivorous animals.
